Task:Produce and print a completed box, according to the clients requirement

Brief 1:
The client wants a box, that implements the design and imagery of a table that will have stationary equipment on top of it. The designs of the tables can be simplistic and generic but stationary can either be 3D or ‘pop-up’, that can place on top of the table. The designs and images of the stationary can evolve from basic sketches to geometric art. The colours in the design can be generic or different from the original or typical colour theme. The overall design must consist of a neat and clean aesthetic to compliment the clients desire and minimalism.

Brief 2:
The client desires a box that has the imagery of a study table, would stationary on top. The stationery will consist of general equipment that are common on a study desk and will have simplistic colours. The table design will be simplistic and neat (with slight geometric patterns/ designs). The overall colouring of the design needs to be pastel tones with warm colours. The overall design needs to have a neat and clean aesthetic to compliment the clients desire and minimalism.

Concepts and Mind Maps of the Design
Brain Storming Ideas
This pages showcases what the client wanted and while discussing I drew examples and links to what they want and how it would be done
Ideas and Basic Concepts of the Stationary Table/ Study Desk
Mood Board
These are the designs that I used to help create the visual
Concept 1: Study Desk with Stationary Equipment on Top
Design would have with 3D or physical objects on the table top
Concept 2:
Perspective View of a table w/ Lamps, Books, basic equipment on a study desk
Concept 3: A physical Table, which the legs are detachable.
Utilising the first concept to create a box, that can attach legs to create a table
Final Design Process
The format and layout of my First concept.

Those are the paper nets that I found and redesigned to accommodated for final design.
I was looking for a slim net for the laptop, book, and rulers and a long squared net the pencils and rubbers.
Previous Designs and Ideas
First design, did not satisfy the client, since it was not pastel tone
Second Design, use more pastel tone, include 3D stationery objects
Third Design, included blue fills to symbolise what needed to be filled

Final and Completed Design
This final design consisted of including wood texture, gradient and slight change of hue and saturation to create a light pastel and warm tone. To give a realistic table approach I included foot studs at the bottom of the box connecting to each foot studs.
Reflection:
Design Reflection:
The functionality of the box/ gift was meant to be as a storage box but due to adjustment and time, it changes to a paperweight/ decoration.

Time Reflection:
If more time was spend could have create a better aesthetic to the design and prototype more.
